Although it's only October, many artists, creators, producers, and makers are already anticipating the upcoming year. As I plan for 2026, I'm contemplating significant changes for the Old Forge Studio. While my mixed media art is gaining popularity and I'm consistently producing a variety of new designs, I aim to concentrate more on my composite photography. Photography, especially composite photography, has always been my preferred creative medium, and I've decided that 2026 will be the year to further this passion. I will continue to display my quirky "Shelves of Pottery," cheeky gulls in "Waiting For A Snack," glass pots of watercolor plants, "Lovebirds," and a whole collection of new designs at various fantastic events and markets throughout the year. However, I'll also be attending a few new ones exclusively with my composite photography.
What is composite photography? In essence, it involves merging two or more photographs to create a single final image. In practice, completing one of my images can take hours, days, weeks, or even months, depending on the desired outcome. It definitely requires time to capture the perfect images for the final composition.
Fun Fact - I hadn't realised until recently that almost all of my completed pieces include a bird, to the point where they've become somewhat of a signature element in my work now.
Commisions- Do you have a special place that holds significance for you? I would love to create a unique piece just for you, to display in your home and bring a smile to your face whenever you see it.

Therefore, although I will continue to create all my quirky mixed media pieces, you can expect to see many more of my composite photographs in 2026.
